Carolina Ribeiro
Senior Coach in Butcher’s Lab
I’m Carolina and I’m from Portugal. I’ve been living in Denmark since 2021, and I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2012.
I started doing CrossFit, because I wanted a change. I craved something where I could be guided to focus on becoming a stronger version of myself without depending on others but still feel like part of a community. However, I hated my first workout! But I’d already paid for three months upfront (because, let’s face it, I love a good discount), so I stuck with it. Over time, I fell in love with the process, the challenge, and the strength I found—both physically and mentally.
I’ve always loved to move. As a kid, I was super active and constantly on the go. I grew up playing volleyball, which quickly became a big passion of mine, and later, I was introduced to athletics.

I’ve always been fascinated by how the body works, and personal training combines science with the satisfaction of helping people achieve real-life results. There’s nothing quite like seeing a client hit a milestone they once thought was impossible. It’s such a privilege to guide people on their journeys and watch them grow stronger, both mentally and physically. I’ve been helping people reach their fitness goals since 2014 and as of May 2022, I’ve been proud to call Butcher’s Lab my CrossFit home.
I know what it’s like to face challenges. A while back, I broke my neck—yes, really! But that experience taught me how resilient the human body and mind can be. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about guiding others through their own journeys.
To spot me at the gym, I’m known for always being bundled up in a hat, two pairs of pants and what feels like 30 sweaters (I’m perpetually cold!).
